Eat, breathe, sleep

A few weeks ago I was laying in bed half-awake with the half-asleep part of me convinced sleep was a four-part legal test and I could only convince the judge I satisfied three of them. He ordered me to stay awake until I could satisfy the fourth prong.

Judges are mean. Until you realize they are exhaustion-induced hallucinations.

Haha!

A while back, a friend asked me if I thought it was her duty to do something, and I spent the whole afternoon thinking, "Duty-breach-causation-harm! Duty-breach-causation-harm!" Like a song stuck in your head, only this was a negligence chant.

The damn law. Overpowering our subconscious.

You should probably just get that last sentence tattooed on. Not only will it bring you amusement, but I think it's something worth remembering if you're in law...
